cryo centering issues.

I like the looks of the kershaw cryo, but I had a chance to handle 2 of them and both of them had the same issue. The blade nearly rubbed on the non-lock side. Is this common?

Honestly, I've owned 3 Cryos over different periods and 1 was perfectly centered, 1 was barely off center and 1 was horribly off center to the point of rubbing the non-locking side as you described.

If you can, use good torx bits (T-8 for the pivot and T-6 for the handle screws) to adjust the knife. A little patience is required but it's really an easy fix. Play around with pivot tension at first, tightening or loosening to move the blade. If that doesn't work loosen all screws and adjust from there. Sometimes you have to push the blade toward the locking side while you tighten the handle screws, so be prepared for that.

Here's a vid that might help. It's not the same knife, but it's still a Rick Hinderer design and works on the same principle:

Good luck, man! Hope I could be of some help!

I did not buy it. But if its really so easy to fix, i might just break down and do it.

I purchased two Cryos (online) and their blades were very badly centered. I broke down one knife completely to heat anodize it. When I put it back together, it was perfectly centered. The second one wasn't completely broken down, but it was easy to center.

Not to be a bother, but I would love to see how the anodizing came out. Any chance you could throw some pics up?
