I've had a [relatively] successful YouTube channel for a while, but never did knife videos. So now I've been branching off into doing that stuff because it's fun. That being said, here's a bit I threw together without much production value, about cutting a small receiver for the detent ball in the Cryo for the sake of making it function well enough as a manual blade. Now that I've done this, it's a slightly more enjoyable blade for me.

I hope you folks enjoy my layman's approach, as I'm not a skilled person really.

For anyone that cares, I've been making paintball videos for quite some time, and amassed somewhat of a substantial audience from that, but I'm tired of limited myself so I'm now just making content on whatever interests I have, and blades (primarily Kershaws) are a big one. Turns out a lot of my viewers are knife nuts anyway, so...here I am in a different, and much more enjoyable community. Cheers.

I tried this today, I kind of miffed up the blade trying to freehand, but oh well, can't see it when it is open or closed....So I was wondering when you have you knife manual how do you keep the blade centered and still able to flip it? I only put a small detent because I did not have the right tools, but I cannot even flip it unless it is loose and then it is pushed into the frame. Thanks.
 
stick!!! I'm a huge fan of your paintball videos and i just bought a cryo today!! Could you maybee explain how to make it manual?
 
Wow old thread dug up! I just got a Cryo in a trade and took out the torsion bar. Noticed the detent isn't very strong but it still works well as a manual folder.
