Cryo Quench

Here's a couple of heat treating questions:

How long after heat treating can the cry quench be done? If I heated the blade myself and then sent it out to be quenched would the delay of several days still result in a properly quenched blade? Or does it have to happen right away?

If I choose not to cryo quench ATS34 will I still have an OK blade?

Will heat treating before I grind the bevels result in less of a chance of warpage?

TIA for all your help!

cryo quench..... I still need to find the steel that can go from 1500°C to -279°C....
Most steels don't even go right in water at 20 °C.. Warping, cracking.... I always oil-quench.
Cryo treathment on the other hand is the cooling of your blade when is it quenched and tempered to a very low temp to reduce it's grain size. It usually means a increase in edgeholding and toughness.
I doesn't really matter if you do this 2 hours after heat-treath, or 2 years.

If you choose to cryo-quench ATS-34, you'll have very big number of pieces of blades..
If you choose not to cryo-treath your ATS-34 blade, it'll be a little less edgholding and tough, in my opinion about 5% less then usual.
