Two things I've never really cared for: steel handles and spring assist. So why do I like this Cryo? It's like a little robot knife. (in a good way)

My other question- where is the spring? I don't see a tension bar (if that's the right word) As I said, I never cared for springs, so I don't know much about them. I'm just puzzled by this thing.:)
 
I feel the same about the Cryo too. However I swapped out one SS handle for a CF handle and lightened it up considerably. I got use to the assist and now I actually like it even though my preference is towards manual folders.

The Torsion Bar is under a plate in the handles.

Im with viper on this one, the carbon fiber scale on the cryo makes it a very nice knife. Seems like it cuts down the weight a considerable amount if heavy knives are a turn off for you. Plus, its carbon fiber!

This one is mine next to one of my DAM. Skylines.

 
i really need to break down and buy that damn thing. or better yet ask for it for father's day!

Where did you get the cf scale from? Looks really good on there.
