Hello all, I just got a Cryo in the mail. Brand new. And a little tiny bit of the coating of the blade is wearing off. It is the side opposite of the framelock. And the blade is not centered.it is closer to the side where the coating problem is is that the problem? Its not the biggest deal to me, because I expect to use it a lot. This is how it came

Is this normal? Should I return it?
Any help is much appreciated, thanks, MattyLav.

I have one and its perfect! Kershaw may be able to fix it if you send it into them.
Good luck my friend!

Is the wear on the coating a result of the blade rubbing against the handle scales? If so, you can try adjusting the centering (adjust the pivot screw, the folded paper trick, etc.) yourself. If you're not comfortable tinkering with it and you really want it fixed, you can contact Kershaw's warranty department.

Neither of my Cryos are centered either, but they also aren't rubbing the liners. If you plan to use the knife, it'll likely take on more scratches and wear from use than from rubbing the liners. For the cost of the Cryo, I don't think it'd really be worthwhile to ship it back to fix unless there is something else functionally wrong with it (lockup problems, significant blade play, etc.).

Thanks Rusty.Music And Flarp. I would tinker with it but id rather contact kershaw. Thanks
