Cryo treatment

The value of cryogenic treatment for most blade steels has been well established and many makers are now even doing liquid Nitrogen treatments at home. Can anyone comment about the relevance of time and temp versus different alloys? Further, there is commentary on the web regarding the effects of the cooling rate. Can anyone comment on this?

There was a discussion here recently about this. However, my search function does not seem to be working. Does anybody else remember?
I remember that Cliff Stamp was a participant, I think.
