Just to let you folks know.

I bought a 64 1/2" bandsaw blade from Texas Knifemakers Supply just over a month ago. It is a Lennox blade that had been cryo'ed. I had always been sceptical somewhat on this "cryo thing" but I can say this. This blade is just like that Energizer rabbit, it just keeps going and going and going....

I am thoroughly convinced that cryo'ing is the way to go. They do it there at TKS and ramp it down to -300 DegF.

The blades from there are worth every bit of the 26 bucks in my opinion!

I too, was skeptical once, but then someone gave me a disposible razor that had been cryo'd. I have never seen a razor give so many shaves! I am convinced. Some steels(that contain Chromium) show a more dramatic difference, but it is beneficial to all steels.

Johnny Stout, who in addition to being a fellow knifemaker, is also a fellow guitar picker. He had TKS cryo some guitar strings for him, and raves about how long they last.

A few years ago,one of the locals had a 4x4 chevy, went thru axles like crazy, but did'nt want to change out to bigger housing etc.,I told him about cryo and he had his axles done, end of problem, till he wrecked truck.
