Yes, I owned one I just gave it to my Dad because he liked the weight. He then gave me a A&A Horseman's axe which he said was a little to heavy. It makes a nice hole and dent in a 14ga steel helmet. The head liked to come loose with repeated use. I ended up pinning it into place. It's well made and does a lot of damage. I recently picked up the poll Axe.....does a lot more damage :thumbup:

Bors: Does your War Hammer have a tapered eye or is it straight like the Pole Axe?

The eye is tapered. If you plan on beating on wrecked cars trees and cinder blocks you might give some thought to pinning it.

I would say that I've posted on the warhammer one or two pages back, check it out. Other than that, run the forums through google search, "site:bladeforums.com 'your query' ". Know your search modifiers.

I enjoyed mine before selling it. They are fun! If you want more authenticity then there are "combat ready" medieval replicas out there.

It's a nice modern interpretation - I'm sure it does the business against someone in plate armor LOL!

I own one. It's Hell on wheels. I also own the Mace. The War Hammer is a little more versatile but the mace is just out right cool. I keep it in my tool bag in my truck along with a machete, axe, shovel, and pry bar. The handle on the War Hammer is also better. I had to do a little tweeking on the mace. I had to drill it out at the top and epoxy a lug bolt and a few steel washers in place. Added a little weight and made it all the more sturdy. All I can say on the war hammer is when you get it... before setting the set screw beat that thing as far as you can up onto the shaft. I set mine in between two saw horses and hit it with a 20lbs sledge. I got it about an 1/8th of an inch away from the top of the shaft. Then I set the screw with red lock tite. It ain't moving.
