Ok here's the deal. I am thinking of picking one up. I liked my Espada when I had it and probably one of the finest locks on a knife I have had the opportunity to use. So, if you own a Rhino please post with your experiences concering the knife and the knife only. No other folks should post. Well let me quantify it, if you have owned one, either still do or did own one and sold it etc. etc. please post your thoughts on it, it is appreciated. keepem sharp

Don't smite me cause I've never owned one. I have owned the Black Sable though which is in the same category and it was probably the best folder I've ever owned. I regret selling it, and need to pick up another.

I have one in route to me. I can post you some pics and a review when it arrives, but I`m sure you`ll get some feedback before then.

Has the same lock as the American Lawman, (which I own and is partially what sold me), and Espada series which is very strong. Designed by Demko I believe.

The Rhino`s traditional style with polished G10 handles, polished bolsters, combined with the secure lock is what sold me. AUS8A blade, not fancy, but I`m not much of a steel junkie and AUS8A is very user friendly, for me at least.

(I know, not much help yet, lol)

In the end I like it, a lot. I like my American Lawman, Rajah 1 and my Black Rhino especially because of the next generation lockback (Tri-Ad) it employs. The clunk of the lock is very assuring and the rigidity of the folder as a whole (good engineering) is what makes ,e happy when I pull it out to admire.

My 'cons' which I stated in the review thread is 'fixable' if you know what I mean.

I ground notches like tiger stripes on the shiny bolsters (carefully and slowly to have it look good) and now my Rhino is better as a Tiger :) The 'stripes makes it look nice IMO and it aids in grip.

Secondly the lockbar's spring movement is settled by making a little recessed area for the spring to move in and now it's not an issue (PS: bend the spring slightly to suit your level of lock stiffness).

Thirdly I changed my thumbstuds to equal length studs cause I'm ambidextrous. I found there is no need to worry about the T6 torx screws and lastly you can get our good pal STR to make you a lowrider clip for all your CS products :)

If you like the Espada and the American Lawman then grab it. The high grind of the blade and the sturdy/stong design is worth it.
