Hey folks

I did a little mod to my Bushman , for added grip , so far it is much easier to retain in the hand when chopping and I do not worry as much about slippage when used for penetrating.
Not the prettiest of jobs but its not the prettiest of knives either ! :D although quite a functional bush blade.

Roughly 5 minutes of chopping and splitting thru seasoned 2x4 pine.

The edge was still pretty sharp considering , a little touch up with my Arky and back in business ! The Bushman is a little light for chopping tasks IMO but it would definatly work in a pinch , on a budget.

Mods , if this is posted in the wrong area , my apologies ! :)

Looks good, looks effective, but you never really told us: Does it in fact work? ;)
Nice edge mod too, btw.

Gotta love CS for making and selling blades like these.

Looks like a cool mod, and it sounds to me like it works pretty well. I'm hesitant to pick one of these up since I have quite a few quality fixed blades already, but I can't help but to see one of these in my future.

Dremel? Free hand?
Looks good.
Doc

Thanks ! Used two sizes round files , took maybe 30 minutes.

Thanks! Yes it does work to an extent , I mean I would still be wary to thrust it into something too hard in case my hand slipped but for chopping , etc it does add a lot of grip.

I hear you , I have a beautiful custom woods/camp knife and a few others nicer fixed as well , the Bushman though begs to be used hard and if the little guy breaks or gets too damaged a new one isnt going to break my bankroll.

To be honest I cant see it breaking unless I overdo it , I have been very rough on this knife , on purpose and its taken all I can throw at it thus far.

Tostig :)
