What are your opinions on the Cold Steel Custom Series---the Black Talon, Black Sable, Caledonian Edge, Spectre, Hatamoto, etc etc---and how is the new VG-1 San Mai performing? Thanks for the feedback.

way over priced for what it is.
Although I like Cold Steel, I would not buy one of these. They are way too expensive for one, and the San Mai steel is good for not rusting and not breaking, thats about it. The edge retention is not as good as the Carbon V and it is harder to sharpen. If you have extra money to play around with, sure, but if you're goin for the most knife for the money, there are better knives out there for less.
