CS Frontier vs. Norse hawk?

I'm looking for a more compact tomahawk, (shorter distance from edge to pole) and I've determined that either the Norse Hawk or the Frontier Hawk should fit the dimensions I want.

Now, which head do you prefer for chopping? The more useful of the two will be the one I end up getting. I'm leaning towards the Norse right now, but I'd love to hear your opinions and reasons.

I love the newer model frontier for throwing the best of all the CS hawks and it chops adequately. I like the look of the norse and have used them for throwing and chopping, not my cup of tea. I found the head on the norse came loose much more often than the other models especially when chopping.

Best regards

The new frontier is the best looking of all the hawks, imo, just got my spike today and it's not far behind though!
I hear the norse is the lightest of all of them, even the trail hawk, so maybe not so great at chopping.
That shape may lend itself to throwing, but I find it ugly as sin.
Here's a good review.
I have an old frontier and I ground it down to be flat on top like the new ones before they came out, I may pick up another one in the new style anyway.

Looks like I was wrong on the weight, sorry guys!
Have you considered the pipe hawk at all? It is basically a frontier with a hammer poll. (the pipe bowl isn't drilled)
I like the design over the trail hawk as it has more cutting edge.

I have been throwing the norse for years. It is a lightweight compared to my rifleman hawk, but no lightweight in it's own right.

Good stuff. I especially like the pronounced tip. Makes for more sticking potential.
