Anyone have any experience with this knife? Looking for a cheap boat knife (folder). I imagine the 4116 is not a great steel, but is it good enough for light boat/fishing "chores" & does it sharpen easily? Also does the locking ring actually work well & how slippery would the handle be when wet?
Just looking for something safe & cheap (as it will probably go over the side eventually :) ).
Thanks.

Don't know about the CS, but why not check out a stainless Opinel? Very sharp, very inexpensive.

Heck, you can buy the knife the Kudu is modeled on for the same price. Grab an Okapi. They're rustic, but superb workers.

Okapis do stainless , and serrated in both stainless and carbon steel

the serrated blade is more like a saw than a knife .

all in the same style lock blade .

Sorry for the bad photo , but this should give some idea what Im rambling about .

I got the Fin Bear made out of the same steel and so far I like it. It is hard to believe you can get a decent little knife for that price. I say get one and see if you like it. Mine is in my fishing kit.
