CS Laredo 01 model differences CHLT00161 vs CHLT00216

Hello everyone

My name is Frank and this will be my first post to blade forums. I’ve long been a knife and tool enthusiast, but always thought I wanted USA made Spydercos, Benchmade’s , Hogue ect. Several months ago I started buying cold steel, and found that I prefer larger knives. Current collection includes in order of purchase. Espada Large 10, XL voyager plain tanto, XL Vaquero serrated, Mangnum Tanto XII San Mai, SR1 Lite tanto, and Safe Maker II. I’m looking to add a Laredo Bowie in 01 from the Lynn Thompson collection. Model numbers CHLT00161, and CHLT00216 with the 161 costing about $10 more. I can’t figure out what the difference is.

Welcome to Blade Forums, Frank. Those numbers are just inventory numbers for that vendor (which is a company that I've purchased from without issue in the past). They are not model numbers supplied by Cold Steel. From the descriptions, I don't see a difference in the knives. You might want to call and ask about the price difference before you buy.
