CS large Espada as a EDC...
Considering getting one as a EDC blade but not sure.
Anybody carry one or what could come close... Like larger blade folders

i think charlie mike carries a custom variation of the espada.

ive handled it, it is pretty massive!

edit: i have a rajah 1 that i have carried, but by no means on a regular basis. it only fits in the pocket (depth) of one pair of shorts i own.

With the right type of clothing, it is very doable. However it will be much more noticeable then a sub 4 inch folder. I carried a CS Rajah II for a long time. It was surprisingly more comfortable then I had expected.

I think I've got Charlie Mike's CS Espada (after he'd ordered his custom) and it's not too bad canted in my front waistband, but can't get use to tucking in at my rear waistband.

I either carry the Large Espada or a DDR HTM MAXX 5.5 in my rfp. The espada has fit just fine in all my jeans and have had no issues. I have also tried carrying it IWB in the front and also feels fine but have no need to carry 2 monster sized folders at once.

I love large folders. They carry best in jeans. The sweet spot for me is a 4.5"-5" blade. My custom Navajah (espada) is 4.5". Recently I've been carrying my tanto Spartan after doing some major mods to the handle. Same size.

Cop911 has my old L Espada. BTW, how do you like my lanyard mod?

I edc an Espada Large, and love it. Smooth handle, but not one out of which your hand can be pulled. Nice blade shape. And it just looks [expletive] awesome.

I EDC a large Espada (polished) in my back pocket with my dress clothes. Only the polished aluminum tip sticks out but since the tip is quite slender compared to the rest of the knife (which is unseen in the pocket) nobody has said anything - although they tend to jump back if I pull the knife out. I carry the large G-10 version Espada when wearing work jeans, again in the back pocket. I have removed the thumb plates on both knives since I tweaked the Triad locks for quick-flick opening without the need for the plate. (and I usually don't want these big knives coming out wave style). The thumb plate was also a bit uncomfortable. Both knives feel normal-sized when compared to a Rajah 2 that I customized with aluminum scales and carry when wearing BDU pants or baggy cargo shorts. I used to EDC a Spyderco Military, but it seems too tiny these days and has be relegated to being my restaurant knife.

Pocketing the Large Espada is definitely doable, but I find is best done in jeans. Shorts are usually impossible since the knife swings around too much smashing into things. The pocket opening thumb plate does destroy the pocket edge rather quickly.

A couple other options are the XL Voyagers and the Hold Out I, the Voyager is a bit easier to carry and the Hold Out I is definitely the most practical way to pack a big blade, if you don't mind the design.

I use to edcknives I carried a 25 dollar few market special assisted knife with a 6 in blade with no problems along with a sog flash 2 and all I wear in jeans

I don't carry my rajah 2 everyday but when I don't carry a pistol(when CCW permit expires or something like that), I do carry the rajah 2. I measured most of my pants' pockets before I bought it and found that it fit inside 95 percent of my pants pockets.

Just make sure you don't open it around non-knife people or they will freak the f$%& out.

Personally, I think it's easier, more comfortable, and more practical to carry a 5-6" fixed blade IWB than a massive folder in a pocket (I did NOT like carrying my Rajah II), but good on you if you can make it work.
