CS Large Espada vs CS XL voyager Vaquero (and getting it waved)

Wrecking my brain about this.

I want a big combat folder.

Both these knives appeal to me, and they are about the same size.

Espada:
G10 handles
thumb disk with wave function.

Voyager:
Nice curve in the blade
fully serrated

I lean towards getting the Voyager, but I would like to get it waved.

Can anyone post pictures of what it looks like when you have a production knife waved?
I have no idea how this is done.

And of course; which knife would you choose?
I'm really torn. The price difference isn't really an issue in this case.

I ordered the lg espada. I also used to have an El Hombre. CS's serrations are a nightmare, and combining that with a recurve *shudder* But if you just want it as a JIC kinda thing with no intention to use and dull it, there shouldn't be a problem.

you can use any photo editing program to show what a wave mod would look like with the eraser tool, since the way it is done is to grind away part of the blade.

As in: nightmare to sharpen?
Or also in use?

I've also been looking at the large voyager clippoint.
Probably a muck better choice for utility.

sharpening, and the teeth are pretty delicate and break off

and yeah, the XL clip pt is going to be close. 5.5" AUS8 clip point blade with triad lock from Cold Steel, that describes both the voyager and the espada, but with a big price difference. I prefer the espada handle, so I paid, but I thought about it for a while.

I can wave anything. Just send me a pic of the knife with your cut out penciled in.

I'm in Europe.
Probably a bit of a hassle sending the nife to you and you sending it to the Netherlands.

So, a cut-out will work?
I though something would have to stick out to catch on your jeans to deploy the knife.

A cut out will work but you can also try a longer thumb stud.

They are OK-ish to use, but as Hard said, they are very fine and pointy and prone to bending or breaking. And because of this, you basically need a special tool to sharpen them, seen here: http://bit.ly/tk1M3l

Here's a picture that gives an idea of how fine they are:

Yes, it takes a bit more patience in sharpening these serrations.

They are more fragile compared to the SpyderEdge too.

Edited to add:

I have found that the corner edges of the DMT Diafolds work on the Cold Steel smaller serration pattern.

I would think most smaller ceramic or diamond rectangle-shaped sharpening stones would work too.

If you're not talking about the full-blown regular Espada, buy two or three Voyagers and some zipties for a lot less money than the Espada. Pocket the difference and put it towards a future purchase. The G10 Espada's price is more in line with the Voyager, but it still costs twice as much.
