CS Master Hunter Distal Taper

I finally made some comparison pictures. The thicker one is a CS Master Hunter that I picked up at a gun show around 1991 or 1992. The thinner one I bought about 4 years or so ago. They are both Carbon 5. The difference in the grinds is significant. I still like the thicker one for it's strength, with the full flat grind, it cuts very well, although the thinner one is probably better for cutting.

I used mustard for a patina on the thinner one, so it's not as shiny...

Nice; I've noticed the same on my older MH and a newer one. You could probably skin a walrus with either, no problem. The MH is a classic, one of the best blades CS has produced .
