I have an original MH in 01 steel bought I think back in the late 80's. I know it was the first year they came out just can't remember which year. Anyways the BEST hunting knife I have ever owned, and that includes customs. I ain't kiddin either, so I would go with the MH in SanMai III whatever that may be. keepem sharp

Thanks longbow You've had that baby for a while, Good Stuff :D

I don't have either but looked them up when I saw this post. Here's the same knife for $79.

I've ordered from them before with great service.

Hi newknife Thanks for the link, the cost is lower, as it's in US $$
we in Canada, need to add about 10% as $ is weaker. Then in some cases shipping is more, + at times our Customs and tax man want there cut :grumpy:
So in short ..it usually ends up costing the same.

I vote for the Seal Pup, I got mine on eBay for $49.00

I was really impressed with the feel of this knife

And the sheath is equally impressive, it accomodates horizontal and vertical carry, and it has a Molle attachment strap.

Also the large front pouch can hold a multi-tool, wet-stone, or fire starting device

Here are some pics of mine
