CS Neck knives vs CRKT

Just looking for siae difference in the Stiff KISS series and the current Cold Steel Neck knives. It looks like the CS has better grip, but it also looks shorter. The blade is shorter by half and inch.

Though measurments still don't tell you how the feel in the hand...so...Who's handled both, What do you think?
 
sorry, Haven't really handled these, but before you buy one, you may wanna check out the Timberline Mini Pitbull, it's a honey.
 
Hey thats nice too! Good measurements. Only reason I wanted the cold steel was because of the grip, and blade length. Now that I look at the measurements of the para edge it seems like the grip is too small. Only 3/4 of an inch longer then the ready edge grip I handled today. That is pretty dinky!

I like that mini pitbull though!
 
I don’t have a CS neck knife, but I do have a CRK&T Stiff Kiss MDP, and it dose make a very good neck knife. The skeleton handle is a little on the skimpy side, it is designed for cord wrapping if you want. I tried both wrapped and unwrapped, and eventually settled on unwrapped for less bulk and easier cleaning.

Another neck knife you might want to check out, is the Camillus Arclite. Personally, I like the Arclite better than the Stiff Kiss MDP.

IMHO the CS neck knives are almost unusable becuase of their tiny poorly shaped handles. The CRKT knives are designed much better.

I have not handled the CS, but I do own the CRKT Stiff KISS.

I don't like it, won't carry it and have no plans for beyond leaving it in the drawer.
I cannot explain why this particular knife just does nothing well IMO. It has a tanto blade, and I like tantos, It has a skelatonized grip and I have nothing agianst em. I have owned it for over 3 years and forced myself to carry it in the past. It maybe that I have fairly large hands and the little KISS knife just does not work for me with or with wrapping the grip. And unless the sheath as been changed it is bulky for neck carry for this small a knife.

Franks suggestion for the Camillus Arclite might be a better choice.
 
I like the Masters Of Defense Knives MOD Scorpion Neck Knife
And Microtech Medallion Neck Knife. Both look super . Price is a little higher . I have 2 neck knives crkt and camilus . I hate them both . :) The MOD neck knife is about $63.00
 
watch the for sale forum and get a livesay woo for $20 or so and ya will never be sorry imho.

the kiss is as stated way too thick/big for a good necker, and CS imho doesnt build a good necker,i like the CRKT polkawski fixed blade though, for belt carry/if ya buy a better sheath.
