Hello gents,

I was wondering if there were any way to tell what steel a PK1 was made of if the box is no longer present...I'm looking at buying one site unseen save for a few pictures (in the pictures I can't see the sandwich lines if it were SMIII) and nothing on the blade laser etching states the metal used like the newer blades, only cold steel Japan on one side and pk1 on the other.

Any light anyone can shed on the situation would be extremely helpful!!
