Have you ever cut yourself at the knife counter?

Today I was at the local outdoor store looking at knives and spied a Cold Steel Recon Tanto in the case. I asked to see it and the counter person set it on a mat for inspection. I held it for a while, looked it over and gave it back. A few minutes later at the gun counter, my son told me that I was bleeding, pointing too my left hand. Sure enough, I had a small cut on my right hand that was leaking a bit. I never even felt the knife blade touch my hand. That knife was sharp! It would have been embarassing if the cut had started bleeding at the knife counter.

Yes, it was Carbon V. I checked out a dozen or so fixed blades today and the CS Tanto was by far the sharpest  .
From the looks of it, it has been there a while. The price was marked down to around $65 or so.

at the knife shop i used to frequent (b4 i got a job that's 24/7/360 :() they had a policy : u bleed on it, you buy it
that kept a lot of ppl from bleeding all over the glass counter :D

I have one and they are sharp. Good characteristic of good knives when they cut and you don't feel it.:D

I've got one of the first SOG Tomcats. It has tried to bite me every time I've opened it and bitten me more often than not. I quickly developed a phobia about it and leave it in a drawer.
