I need some good advice. I know my way around knives but I am now faced with a challenge I have not expected. Due to some neurological issues I am now looking for a fixed blade that I can carry on my belt and is easily picked up and held without using the ends of my fingers
Looking for a blade about four inches. The CS T shaped handle fits the bill but I wish it wasn’t truly a double edged dagger. I like the design of ShivWorks El Niño but the blade is too short for me. I will be cutting down boxes, opening mail and slicing through some fairly thin stuff I am more interested in some utilitarian uses.
Budget new or used is about $100.00 ish.

Thanks for any ideas.

Used - The Outdoor Edge Game / Whitetail Skinner and Caper might fit the bill -

The Caper does away with the hook, but is hard to find -

Also be aware that some Cold Steel Safe Makers, maybe all, went to a funky one sided bevel -

The older Urban Skinner and Safe Keeper III were single edged, and standard grind, and gave off bigger feel than their size -

There's also the Tops Grim Reaper for $130ish -

could take a file to the one side of the dagger edge and make it dull and eliminate that issue of being double edged. assuming that was the only hold back to that knife.
