I don't wanna crash anyone's computer, so here is one video of the martemp SK-5 Cold Steel Laredo in use.

Rehandled in micarta, and abused during testing. There are half a dozen vids on that channel which cover this blade. It is a powerhouse, and it comes with my favorite production IWB sheath, no question. I love my TrailMaster, but this is my favorite knife right now.

Cool video man, you look like you've hacked up alot of golf balls in the past. Your aim seems to be right on!

looks like fun. I passed my Trailmaster in SanMaiIII on to a new user, after 9 years or so. My only real hangup ended up being the Krayton handle. Just too darned grippy on my hands after extended use. A stacked leather handle, or micarta on that would have greatly improved the overall quality. Krayton is alright on some knives. I much prefer Resiprine C. Still shock absorbing, and good grip, without being too much so. Also much much firmer.

I had intended to have my TM rehandled, but had a newer bigger chopper, so I passed that one on.

Thanks for sharing the vids.

Thanks ankerson.

Punisher: That's the factory sheath, but agreed....... SC rules!

Actually, the first clip is the first one I ever attempted. Turns out my form was bad, but my accuracy was decent. Logs are the majority of my limited experience with a bowie.

I wish I had a SMIII TM... that is a SK-5 martempered Laredo. I have to agree on the kraton though. Prints like crazy, not incredibly comfortable. I replaced it on my TM, and the knife is a little heavier, but for me it's more effective. I like resiprine C, but it would be harder to remove for a rehandle.

picksmith good chopping wish my aim was that good. maybe you should think about enrolling in one of the cutting contests.

I want to, but they don't ever come close enough for me to make it. Besides that none of my knives meet spec for a bladesports event. :grumpy: Except for the rope, I try to use alot of their events.

I saw halving the bottle through the cap and thought is was the coolest thing. I could have edited this one to be much shorter, excuse the extra babbing.
