i have some cs spikes and i really like them.any body else out there have any comments on em?????????...........................p

I like it too. Not going to risk neck carry here in Los Angeles but I keep it hanging on the hinge behind my front door in case I suddenly find that I need to drive it through something (i.e. Jehovah's Witnesses).
No offense to Jehovah.

Paul, if you really like them you might want to go straight to the source. I believe that Barry Dawson is the custom make that designed this knife, and he makes a custom version, that is actually pretty cheap, for a custom.

I bought one, but then I realized that the geometry isn't great for general cutting. So I rounded the edge off. It makes a nice little prybar now.

handle is just too small for me, just doesnt feel right, nothing to keep your hand from sliding down the handle imho if ya stabbed something hard, honest to goodness i took mine out and looked this evening after one was mentioned on another thread, was comparing it to my MOD razorback, found out that there is no comparison imho. much better handle, more potential for utility use, better sheath, only con is the price diff i guess lol.

now maybe if ya wrapped the handle with para cord?? might try it just for grins...

yes I got one too. It seems like a sturdy design. I keep it in the lid compartment of my shooting box( the long , thin compartment). It should be good for cleaning game. I have used it as a steak knife. I would like a different sheath and may make one when the mood strikes me.

Have got to admit I like the design and whatnot. I haven't handled one, but I would really like to. I usually stick my nose up at Cold Steel, but this

i used to have 6 of them. never broke one.yep they are a sturdy little unit regardless they are made of 420 sub zero quenched

bit pricey though for a stick of 420J. I prefer to buy the hibben throwing knives.

hook em

ok for a production knife imho, like my nealy amoeba better but lots more $$.

we hooked 'em tonite didnt we lol!!!!!!!

Sort of reminds me of the Japanese utility knife that would sometimes be kept in with the Wakizashi.
my only complaint is the crappy steel. Someday I will get a Dawson original to go with my Criswell Wak.

The steel is thick enough it doesn't really matter if its less than optimal- this knife is designed with ONE purpose, and that is to penetrate whatever the heck it hits, and it does that quite well. I've used one of mine to chisel wood, pound though a steel computer case to start a circular cut, punch-mark lengths of aluminum pipes for sediment cores, and to chip and pry rocks out of roadcuts. It holds up- the edge gets trashed, but the point is still there with only a little work.

I used to carry it in my pocket, I don't anymore. Its in my toolkit.
