Cold Steel SRK user that has been given a high convex grind. Very sharp, and easy to sharpen. The tip is no perfect (not as pointy) due to my inexperience but the rest is perfect and even with the true centerline. This knife was a user before I did the convex grind but now I have so many Barkies that this one sits in a drawer. Since this is carbon steel, the spine sparks when hit with a piece of flint/chert and can light your charcloth, I've used the knife for this many times. I just sharpened the knife so it will ship with a great edge. $60-$50- $40 shipped Conus Comes with kydex sheath from cold steel

The tip is not a pointy as it used to be. You can see in the picture that its slightly more round at the tip. The grind angle on the SRK was really thick and I knew I would have to take a lot of to properly convex the blade. This was the thickest knife that I have made a convex grind instead of just a convex micro bevel. It came out well, cuts great, and is even with the true centerline all the way up. The only thing I'm not happy with is that the last 3/16in of the tip is less pointy than the original profile.

Forgot to mention, it comes with the standard kydex cold steel sheath. sorry about the confusion.

Do you have any idea how much it would cost to get the tip to be redone and how much steel is going to be needed to remove to get everything back to orginal specs.

original specs? the grind is a high convex and it used to have a sabre grind. Given how much time it took to convex the knife in the first place you would be better off looking for one that's not modified if you want it to be like the original.
