In my opinion this is one of the most tactical folders ever made, but what are your opinions, it puts to shame most other folders that are 3xmore expensive and fancy

I would also appreciate some opinions from those who have owned this knife for some time. Funny you posted this, I have been looking at the Ti Lite for some time now but have not been sure about the design. I have had the 4" aluminum model in my shopping cart so many times, just never did pull the trigger, but just literally a few hours ago I found the 4" zytel on closeout at Midway for $30. At that price I couldn't justify NOT getting one.

I owned this knife for few years now , and am sure is better than most tactical offerings out there, especially for price, have reground the edge, and lock is rock solid. No mistake buying it.Slices ok with new edge too, as I prefer really thin blades but no problems.

Mine is nice, but there are a LOT of people out there I've spoken to who say theirs developed fairly major blade play without it being put through any hard use or abuse.

I love my Ti-Lite. The biggest selling point to me was the blade style, as I was always a fan of the stiletto. I also love the quillion draw. If I would change one thing about the Ti-Lite, it would be to maybe texture the quillions differently, so they don't shred your pockets so much.

Have a ton of Cold Steel knives myself but not the Ti Lite. Cherish them all. Am curious though what folders do you think the Ti lite put to shame that was 3 times the price?

I have the 6" Zytel. As a quick deploy tactical knife I'd say it has few peers, but for non-defensive use I get more use out of my mini tuff-lite.

I'm carrying the Rajah 3 at the moment. That is a very nice knife too.

;) ive had mine for few years and theres no blade play, slices like champ, edge holding is decent, and for price is an excellent knife. Most problems with knives today in my opinion is theyre just too thick, especially behind the edge.5 min with belt sender will fix most of it.

I have had the zytel and titanium 4" models for over 5 years. I have never carried either for more than a week before going to something else for edc. Not saying it is a bad knife, just does not fit my tastes for this type of knife. And there are other blades in the price range that I prefer. Hold out II $25.00 at the parking lot sale last NOV. has been my go to model.
I do have a few to choose from...

Me too. Got the Hold Out 1, 2 & 3 and will probably buy another 1 or 2. If they made this knife with S30V or something would gladly paid $100 - $120 for it. Blade shape and handle are simple design but slices so well and can get such a nice grip in hand. Nice Cold Steel collection you got there. Have 7 myself. I WISH THEY OFFERED OTHER STEEL CHOICES!:) Really like there designs and there locks. Although AUS 8 isn't a terrible steel i find cutting hard materials it chips easily and dulls quick. But it's not really made for that either i guess. Great slicing knives.

contact Andrew Demko, he in the past made some custom blades for the CS folders for other members of blade forums.

I've been carrying my Rajah III for the past week, and I'm loving it.

For a large, dagger-like folder, I'm thinking the Counter Points may steel a lot of the Ti-Lites' thunder. They have somewhat wider, thinner blades for better utility use and come equipped with the bulletproof Tr-Ad lock. I like my Counter Point I better than the 4" Ti I used to have, and I have the feeling that when my CP XL gets here it'll steel significant pocket time away from my 6" Ti.

I think it might be my favourite Cold Steel knife. I'll list the things I like.

It has a recurve blade, like my vaqueros.
It has the full flat grind, like my voyagers.
It has the thumb plate, like my Espada XL.
It is a nice friendly size, like my AK-47.
It has a pocket friendly non-abrasive handle, like my Rajah 2.

I've ordered another model, serrated, because I think that the only thing that could make the Rajah 3 better is Cold Steel's serrations to make it a vicious cutter on cloth and flesh.

i like the ti-lite but it lacks a lot of practical use xD i have the 6 inc version and while i have encountered no blade play find its not the best edc, as for tactical uses i think there are some better choices. Regardless its my favorite knife just because of the stiletto style and awesome looks :)

I have the 6" I am not impressed with it. My X2 Voyager clip point is same size and a lot more useful. Cuts like a straight razor and makes a wide hole going in. The wave doesn't impress me leaves my knife behind me and I can snap voyager to open going to guard position faster than wave opening behind then moving to guard . I also don't like the lock . So mine stays in drawer

Consider the Hold Out 1. It's one of the lighter mega folders by Cold Steel, the handle is surprisingly grippy, and it has a decent belly and cuts like a champ with the FFG. You can also get the serrated version for very little money at the moment. I think the serrated is being discontinued sadly.

I have a Ti-Lite with a 4 inch blade. I can't stand the quillion. Its right where I want to put my thumb & doesn't feel too friendly when I accidently come into contact with it. The Counter Point is a much better dagger-like folder for me. Stouter tip, more belly for cuts, Tri-Ad lock, & much more comfortable handle.

Just the same, I'll be getting the 6 inch Ti-Lite to help complete my CS giant folder collection. It's longer handle may alleviate most of the quillion issues.
