CS Trail master and Gerber Bowie

Witch one was first? Is one a copy of the other or is there a common ancestor?

I would guess more of a common ancestor. I don't know much about bowies but they're similar to any other bowie I've seen. I don't think it's a copy more of a common design

Coffin handle clip point Bowies like that have been around since about 1850.

The Trailmaster came first by several years. I believe Bill Bagwell had some design input on the Gerber Bowie. The Cold Steel Trailmaster was co-designed by Dan Maragni if I'm not mistaken.
