How's it going guys new here been into knives for a while figured I'd finally join anyway some knives like my Mora I could sharpen pretty easily but this Hollow Grind on the Tuff light is really thin and hard to see the angle I'm going to get a sharpener like they're sharpmaker but I wanted to know what angle is a knife comes at or what is recommended I was guessing something like 25 degrees thank you so much in advance

I don’t own that knife, but the SM gives you a choice of either 30 or 40 degrees inclusive, if you use the stand. You could go freehand, but If you want to keep the angle consistent go for 30, or 15 dps.

The CS Tuff is quite thin on the blade, and unless you are really dulling it down then it is easy to maintain with steeling and stropping. A cheap $5 dollar steel from the kitchen area of a box store will push the edge back in line, and stropping will put the sharpness back. The Sharpmaker is a great tool, but it is a bit overkill with the Tuff unless you want to reprofile the edge.

I measured the edge angles on the Mini Tuff a few years back. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was somewhere around 25 or 26 degrees included (12.5-13 degrees per side). The regular Tuff looks to have similar geometry. I haven't measured the angles on mine, specifically, but the rods in the Sharpmaker only touch near the apex of the edge when using them in the 15* per side slots. Not exactly a "micro" bevel, but close to it, so they are clearly shallower than 15* per side. There's naturally going to be slight variation from knife to knife, but that should give you a good starting point.
