Canal Street Cutlery Cannitler.
I think this knife makes a good transition knife for those going from one-handed opening, pocket clip, thick bladed knives. Here is why...

It is gorgeous, the blades are D2, made in the U.S.A. Also the main blade is thicker than alot of slip joints.

I also like that it has a sheepsfoot blade. One of my old conundrums when i was a pocket clip only guy was which blade to carry, wharny or regular. This has both.

What others would you recommend as a knife for that transitional period in a knife collectors life?
Pics would be appreciated!

I think easing into the slippie lifestyle can be made less stressful with something like this...either the Kershaw Double Duty or the Double Cross. Traditional slip joint styling yet the convenience of easy opening....The Boker Trapper Liner would be another great choice.

WOW those are some beautiful pics of the CSC cannitler. I don't think you can one hand open it, but I don't think you will find a finer production slipjoint! :)

Fantastic photos of a gorgeous knife.

The only problem I can see with that as a transition knife is that you may never need another... ;) :) :D
