So how does CTS-204p stack up against CPM-M4 in terms of hard use? I like my Gayle Bradley in M4 as its the only thing I own that can cut electric horse tape (poly tape with wires in it) without dulling fast. Can I expect the same from 204p? 204p has more chromium, more carbon, same vanadium, much less tungsten than M4. I am enjoying my new CTS-XHP P2 for regular use and the GB for insane abuse just wondering where the 204p P2 will fit in.

It's similar to M390 so if you have experience with that, or 20CV it should be the same. It's not as tough as CPM M4. Not many steels are. On this graph it gives 20Cv more wear resistance than Duratech M4 ( note: they now use, sell and distribute CPM M4) at RC 60. CPM m4 is Much more wear resistant in the 64-65 range so that might be a different story. Apples to oranges.
