Ok so i bought a spyderco ukpk to try it out.
then i look up the type of steel, it is CTS-BD1 and i have never
had any experience with this kind of steel. What is the edge retention like?
how is the corrosion resistance? is it brittle?
Thanks
Nufdes :D

Edge retention is good like G-2...perhaps slightly less than VG-10, but in practice it is tough to recognize the differences.
Corrosion resistance is very high.
Not brittle, edge failure mode is rolling (not chipping). I have bataned it (Spyderco Mule) without issue. I dont pry with knives (no data).
Edge work is "easy" meaning that even novice sharpeners can generally produce very good sharpening results.

The steel takes a VERY nice polish and can achieve VERY high levels of sharpness, but as stated above it will not retain that level well through hard use.

By high level of sharpness, this is what I mean.

Any time. I really like the steel but it behaves quite differently from the direction it seems modern blade steels are trending.

If Cliff Stamp were to have his way, knives would only be made from simple, low alloy steels. :D
