CTS-BD1N Fully Serrated (SpyderEdge) vs. Plain Edge - Thoughts

Finally going to give the P3 LW a try after holding out for some time. Just about every other knife I have is PE, and was thinking of maybe trying the FS on this one. Had the Pacific Salt FS in H1 on the list also, knowing H1 actually holds an edge better in the FS version due to the work hardening, but I already have a PE Pacific Salt so want something different.
In comes the P3 LW..
Anyone have any input on how CTS-BD1N does in SE vs PE? Any noticeable difference one way or the other?

Thanks all,
Hawk

I was in the same boat. I bought the fully serrated version of the P3 LW and it has been fine but I did break the tip off. I don't have any other experience with BD1N though.

Surfingringo, who is the master of all fisherman (from snails to whales in an ocean-going kayak) in South Florida, tends to LOVE the serrated edge of Spyderco Pacific Salt, but he may have moved on to LC200...not sure.
I would check with him.

I think the Spyderedge is amazing once it has been sharpened several times. I’d go with that without hesitation.

I'd like to add that BD1N is pretty good stuff. It is about like VG-10. I have extensive experience with both steels and I like both.
