CTS-BD30P Good or Bad

I am new to Spyderco knives and the wide array of different steels including all the sprint run special steels.
What is your experience with CTS- BD30P? Is this steel similar to another steel I may be familiar with (VG10, CPM S30V, H1)?
I saw a reasonably priced Manix 2 with a flat ground blade of this steel and I am just wondering if it would make a good user knife or just for someones collection of Manix 2 variants.

Spyderco says it performs the same as S30V.

You saw a Manix with BD30P or BD-1? Because BD-1 is not so hot in edge retention. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...based-on-Edge-Retention-cutting-5-8-quot-rope Although I have seen people reporting that they like the steel.

Edit: I found it, never knew they did that, seems it was a sprint.
