CTS XHP Recon 1 vs AUS 8 version

Hey all
I am not asking about the steel specifically just using that difference to ask a further question, other than the steel are there any significant differences between the older aus 8 recon 1's and the new 2015's? Are the dimensions the same the g10 texturing, the weight, (I'm only asking about the triad lock recon's not the really old versions)
 
From what I understand, the black coating on the blade is completely different. The Aus8 version uses a Teflon coating prone to scraping off quickly, while the XHP version uses a DLC coating that has shown to stand up to something as tough to cut through as a tin can. For some, the Teflon is preferred because they can use some stripper and a brass brush to scrape it off completely revealing a really nice stone washed finish underneath--this can't be done with the DLC as it chemically bonds to the metal.

Also, I noticed from a couple pictures that the butt of the handle seems to protrude an extra 1/4" or so, but I don't have an old recon to compare--they may have made the handle just a little bit longer but I can't confirm. I think that's about it honestly.
