Has anyone deal with this company before? I'm interested in this particular knife.

http://worldknives.com/product.asp?produid=199&typeuid=3

But I'm having to decide...because I'm not too happy with the steel (440A). I really like the design, and I haven't found a navaja of this SIZE. Also, I did some searches for the company on the forum, and came up with only two comments for the company: both NEGATIVE.

If anyone has any experience with this company, and their knives, please give me your feedback.

Thanks!

Look at the Esposito offerings, from Cutlery TO GO. I got a blonde horn navaja, that is gorgeous. I beleive it's called the Bandolera. 9" blade, 19.5" overall.:D

Pax:

what kind of 440 is it? A, B, C? How's the quality on your knife? Sharpness, edge holding, overall durability, etc.?

4 Ranges,
I have some JOKER knives including Navajas (folding knife in Spanish). My ones are smaller, with 4” long blades. Quality – typical souvenir grade knives, not users. Pivot tension is pretty tight and not adjustable, it is simply riveted together. Opening is pretty cumbersome, closing also. Please take into consideration that theses knives are quite exact replicas of medieval age folding knives and they are built of the same materials (excluding blade steel) and using similar technologies (excluding blade grinding, medieval ones had forged blades). Their blades are made of 440A. Lockup is quite reliable.

However pictured big Navaja in JOKER catalog is stated to have 420 steel blade, so there is not correct information from World Knives side... On the other hand, if it is not user and just stays in showcase – what the difference what is blade steel?

But the price $100 looks exaggerated at least 2 if not 3 times! Joker knives basically are not expensive, in Spain this one could cost about 25-30 dollars.
