CUDA blade alignment problem

Here's a question for all the CUDA owners out there. I have a CUDA (left handed)about six months old that has developed a severe mis-alignment which is causing the blade to scrape against the liner when opening and closing. I think this is also affecting the ability of the ball bearing on the liner to contact the blade and keep it in the closed position. This allows the knife to become partially opened when carrying. I've had a couple close calls when raching for the knife and finding it partially open. Have any other CUDA owners encountered a similiar problem? If so how did you fix it? Thanks for your time.

Check all the screws, make sure they're snug. Do you carry it in your back pocket? if you do, this can cause the handles to go out of alignment with the blade.. this is a big problem with BM's AFCK, you can correct this by flexing the handles to center the blade, I do it closed, if its open, it works backwards, and I get confused

Thanks for the reply but the screws are all tight and flexing the handles doesn't seem to work.

Lee,
This does not sound normal, and especially with concerns of the knife opening accidently, we would really like to take a look at the knife for you. If you would call 800-344-0456 and let the ladies in the sales office give you specific return instructions[be sure to put it to Phil Gibb's attention], we will repair and return your knife ASAP. Thanks for your patience.
