  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Cuda Maxx help

"Lockbar" insert is not going to happen.
Try disassembling and giving lock a little extra bend.
It may end up a little harder to release the lock, but it should improve the lock up play.

There is no tension there. I can completely depress the lock bar and the lock rock remains. It's hard to see, but there is a gap.

Can you carbidize the lockface? I think that adds a tiny bit of material and might help lockup.

I don't think carbidizing would be enough. I would suggest having it micro welded, then the lock refitted. Check with Darrel if this can be done in hos shop or if he can have someone do it for you.
being a knife no longer in production and whose value seems to be increasing, I think it might be worth the effort.

I would not carbidize the knife. I'd find someone that experienced in making knives and ask them to fix it.
