BH,

Your assignment, should you decide to take it, is to clip your MAX in your pocket, next take it out and flick it open, cut something at times , close it, finally place it back in your pocket. Repeat this for the rest of the night to simulate the rest of us doing the same. The knife is guarenteed by Will not to desinagrate after you read this message and carry out your assignment. Report back for your next assignment when complited.:D .:D .:D .:D .:D

Bryan - Please let us know after a day or two how the knife performs and what you think about it.

Darrel Ralph and Camillus did a very good job with this knife. Opening a folder of this size with one hand should be a challenge. Not so. The knife is so well balanced that it opens with an easy push on the "wings" or "flippers" and a very slight flick of the wrist. It is a handful, to be sure, but with the titanium handle it isn't unreasonably heavy. Couple that with a strong frame lock and D2 blade, this will be the big folder of the year in my opinion.
well designed, well made, excellent materials, reasonable price and it works. I'm impressed. I added one to my personal collection. Take care.

The Maxx really is an amazing knife! It reminds me of a more aggressive Sebenza. The design is simple, elegant, and very practical.

Darrel Ralph developed a great design. Camillus seems to be holding up their end by building them to nearly custom standards.

Can someone who's got one stick it in your pocket tip-up and pull it out and tell me if the top guard acts as a "wave" to open the blade?

That's what I'm saying Jason.

I guess I'll have to drill and tap mine for tip-up carry.... when it gets here, that is.

Matt, I know you might think your signature line is cute. However, you may also want to consider the following verse:

"A horse is prepared for the day of battle. But, it's victory is from the Lord." Prov 21:31

Dave

Very good verse.

My sig line was engraved on a zippo bought by a serviceman in Vietnam. Because of the ammount of hardware they carried, many of them were right to share that sentiment.

I'm just hoping that someday Camillus gets around to making a 3" version for those of us who like the design but don't want to carry such a large knife. I don't see this ever happening, but I'm still hoping.
