Ok folks,
The long awaited CAMILLUS/Darrel Ralph collaboration, the CUDA MAXX 5.5 has started shipping! The first few hundred left Friday afternoon, and are now heading to your favorite dealers[Spark, you can quit calling now, yours were in the first days shipment;) ]

Ok, now for more news regarding CUDA MAXX. We have enough parts made to ship a few more over the next couple of days. These will not quite cover the current backorders. I expect that we will recieve quite a few more orders once these first ones hit the street. This is going to log jam the backorders for awhile. The equipment that we use making the frames for this knife is going to be tied up for a undetermined amount of time on another very important project, soooooo...I'm not able to say at this time how long it will be before we are able to ship more MAXX 5.5's.

What this means to our friends here on BF is that if you want a CUDA MAXX, I would not wait around....it could be a long time, maybe a few more months.

Here is a pic for your viewing pleasure. This is the production sample that I approved before they started shipping. The anodizing is holding up fine to carrrying everyday, and the blade sure does take a wicked edge. This is my new combo for carry... the TALONITE EDC and the CUDA MAXX 5.5:cool:

Very dope Will. I'll be impatiently awaiting my Maxx. Look out Fresno... I'm gonna be packing a big-ass knife! :D :eek: :D :eek: :D

BTW, are these going to have any additional marking such as "First Production Run" or "0001-1000"?

I guess I better confess . . . Dex emailed me this morning with "secret" news that the Maxx had been cancelled. I flipped and in an attempt to get what few may be out there ordered one from knifecenter since they showed them on hand.
I returned home to find another message . . . APRIL FOOLS!
Well, that April fools cost me $150!!! That is what a missionary gets for believing an low down knife writer!!!;-)
Man . . . to be had by the likes of DEXTER!!!????:confused: :barf: :confused:

Camillus has completely canned the CUDA Maxx 5.5 due to unforseen production problems :-( :-( There maybe some out there on the market right now, and no doubt they will become collectibles. I cannot go into further detail but Will will do the best explanation he can later on the Camillus forum. Don't bother emailing Darrel either. Even as close as I am with him, all he told me was that he did confirm the Maxx is now water under the bridge, and he asked me to ask Will for details. I just let sleepings dogs lie. Sad day
indeed my friend. At least we have the OVB to look forward to now. It maybe time for me to seriously consider ordering a custom 5.5" Maxx from DDR.

We started shipping CUDA MAXX 5.5's on 3/28. We did have to delay our shipping date a few weeks as we checked some unforseen componet issues.

Blade Santa Cruz.....was there a particular point you were wanting to make?

Dexter is coming out to the "farm" after BLADESHOW with the gang,....its a long way out in the country....if you want, he could get "lost" or something;) He deserves something dastardly after that prank:rolleyes:

I forgot about that . . . could you please "loose" him in the woods for at least a little while?? Maybe near a family of toothless banjo players?? Dex . . . have ya seen "Deliverance" lately???:p :eek: :p
 
That is the most rottenest prank I ever did hear of! DE owes you $150 plus compensation for mental stress plus shipping. The shipping is for Dexter, your choice of location.

Not Really . . . I got the biggest laugh out of this that I have had in a WHILE!!! Dex really got me . . . kudos for the best April fools joke I have EVER had played on me! Dex, you are da king!:D :D :D
 
Jason - admit it, I got ya good there buddy :D I did the same thing to Stabby as well....I think his blood pressure has returned to normal by now. LMAO :D Look on the bright side, Jason - you'll have two Maxxes now :eek: (and I'll only have one ;) ) LOL

Can't wait for April 1, 2003!!! :D :p
