specs slightly over 10oz.,total length 8.75 in.,cutting edge 4 in., thickness near 3/16ths, blade width 1.25 in.
the last photo shows a piece of cardboard of double thickness & piece of notebook paper the knife easily sliced after 68 11 in.cuts with bruce's knife.forged from 52100 steel & seems to be 59 or 60 rockwell. after all that cutting knife would still shave hair somewhat. previous tests with many knives gives this an excellent cutting ability & it should do 3 whitetails before a touch up. scales are bois d'arc [bodark] a very hard american wood. this knife is intended for hogs & deer & CAMP ACTIVITY. was never intended for a backpacker. notice the strong sheath construction intended to protect in case of a fall. the flat grind is fantastic allowing slicing of cardboard that required much effort with spydie stretch & endura ffg.i'm very pleased with bruce's project.--dennis

this knife has one of the most efficent flat grinds to come along. cuts easily & is a breeze to sharpen. very inexpensive for a handmade blade.--dennis

Nice little knife. I like the design and those interesting grind lines. The knife has character and looks like a good solid user design

Great looking hunter, Dennis. I don't own any 52100 . . . how does it feel on the stones compared to that 1095 that we like?

IMO nessies are one of the best skinners there are. Good curve to the edge for no puncture skinning a strong profile for camp chores. My favourite old timey knife.
That's a great looking knife Dennis.
Best regards

Robin

thanks for looking, this carbon steel seems to have a finer grind than 1095 & as all good carbons has that solid feeling cut on the stones.--dennis

Culberson is the man. That's a great looking knife Dennis.
My 12" 5160 Bolok chopper holds an awesome edge.

nice rustic look to the blade on that one, its a hunter for sure.

I have a 5.25 in culberson drop point in 1/8, it has become my go to camp slicer.

Bruce makes great knives, good looking sheaths too.
