The Peanut, it's small size makes others underestimate the scalpel like qualities of this fine knife. I didn't quite get it when I got here, but I learned the error of my ways. Now, I pretty much keep a Peanut or a Schrade Minute Man in my watch pocket all the time. I underestimated this knife, but I'm always trying to learn.

The knife in this giveaway is really suited to those who want an old Peanut and don't mind a user. I had bought this knife in near this condition, but I cleaned and oiled it for preservation.

Rules for entry: Post the date you entered the cult and post a picture of your first peanut or tell me your favorite story concerning this pattern. I'll pick a winner in a week or two.... whenever interest dies down.

"Y'all, "not an entry" folks need to change your minds."
I LEAVE IT TO YOUR DISCRETION WHETHER I QUALIFY, WOODROW. If so, I'm in. My first 'nut is the wood Kutmaster pictured below, bought back when Utica had a factory store. That has to be 10 years ago, maybe closer to 20. But I never contributed to the thread.

Not an entry, because I never posted on the relevant thread, though I have some and like them.
I can't find pics of my Camillus and Queen peanuts. These are all Kutmasters. Someday I must get a Case.

Not an entry because I never formally joined the cult, though I have a few peanuts or near peanuts (none by Case). Great for not scaring those who know no better. Very generous.

Later that same evening, I'm liking the odds. I might change my mind.

Yeah, I'm wondering where the Peanut folks are. The blade is worn, but this nut is older than I am for sure.

Never mind. I don't meet your criteria as I don't have a peanut or a story. Good luck to everyone else!

Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing! That's a very nice pea nut, great age aura and beautiful color in those scales. It's had a long useful life with tales to tell. If my arthritis wasn't getting to the point of making it hard for me to open it, I'd put in for this give away myself!

I´m in for that one - I´m a Member Of The Cult... you need an evidence ...

here it is ;)

The first time I ordered a Peanut was in April 2011 and I was curious. It was a tiny knife I could hardly handle. But it quickly grew on me and it didn´t leave my pocket. This knife itself was a blue bone Case Peanut and I gave it to our fellow forum member scruffuk (Thom) some years ago. It´s a great pattern. I honestly can´t remember when I joined th Cult, but it must have been around its founding point.

Very cool Woodrow! I'm in for sure, joined the other nuts a few weeks ago.

I have one peanut, yellow cv delrin I carry every day. Bought 4 pocket worn orange harvest bone P'Nuts and tucked them away as gifts for a special occasion later this summer.

I'm in the club. Got my yellow peanut in June 2011 when my son was born. Love that little knife and enjoy carrying it. Would love the chance at your little beauty. Great character in that knife.
Here she is with another one of her smaller friends.

Thanks again for the opportunity. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

I've been a Peanut toting member since early last year. My grandfather passed away and my grandmother sent me his pocket knives after finding them in his drawer a few months later. One of them was a Peanut. That got me started but I didn't want to carry it too often and lose it. Last year Father's Day, my wife and two boys gifted me this Damascus beauty and it's my favorite and gets carried every Sunday and other days as I feel like it through the week.

Thanks for the chance, I'd love to have an older beauty like that! Hope everyone has a great day!

Nice Peanut Woodrow  not an entry, just a thank you :)

Here's my Kabar Peanut, given to me by Pete Stich :)

Here's my blury peanut. Autofocus decided to focus on the background instead of the knife.

Not an entry, but a great giveaway! It is gone, but I found an older nut that someone had ground the pen blade into a wharncliff blade. I cleaned it up and gave it to my father.

Patina is coming along nice on it Jack

WFC great looking knife and giveaway, not a entry, I've been fortunate to win a number of giveaways and been gifted items also from forum members, but I'll participate in the thread.
Today marks 2 1/2 years of edc of my Chestnut peanut, I've never skipped a day in that time.
For sentimental reasons it's my most treasured knife.

Not sure on what day I officially joined to cult, I carried it everyday for 5 months before I joined BF May 2012, and my first post was of my peanut, I've acquired a few others and given away a few, these are currently the ones that reside in my stable

Never joined the cult "officially" ... so I'll disqualify myself from this GAW. I got a small Christmas bonus this last year, and much to my surprise I went to the only store in town that carries CASE ... and bought a "yeller peanut"! I carry it on Sundays in alternation with a sweet pocket worn harvest orange peanut that I bought from G2 on this forum. This is the peanut that was altered to straighten the blades and is wicked sharp to boot. I've got a "grail" peanut in mind and when I finally find it I'll join the "cult". Great GAW Jake - thanks for your enthusiastic participation in this sub-forum.

hmmmm.... what kind of man gets the cheap utilitarian for himself and buys more expensive ones to give away as gifts?
