Please post your Pemberton pics! This is by far my new favorite pattern.

I forsee a forum civil war between the members of the cult of the Peanut and the Pemberton members. :D

Great knife. Looking forward to pics and story. I may have to get one :D

Wow those look excellent, especially the snake wood! What's the width like compared to the peanut?

What I like here is that although it's short, it's a lot more useful in width than the Peanut, same applies to the blade. I want to get a single-blade version.

Thanks, Will

o.O
where is the grand high muckbah!
wonder what Carl is gonna say...is he gonna join the rebel alliance? Or will he send Darth Sitflyer to eradicate GEC via deathstar?

:D

I guess Im a member now. Just ordered the single blade Ebony. Could have gotten the two blade Snakewood or Cocobolo but with the size I figure a single blade is about right for this knife.

Hey, nobody likes agitators!:D

I don't see any problem with a cult, seeing as how the peanut is the aristocrat of American small knives. The cult may even lend a guiding hand to the new kid on the small knives block. After all, the little guys have to stick together. Never can tell when some wise guy stockman or trapper will run his yap making wise cracks about the little guys. Peanuts, Pembertons, Buck companions, and the like are all kind of cousins. Ever piss them off it will be like a horde of piraña at a all you can eat buffet. :D

Carl, Grand High Muckba, and defender of the Faith.

That black Pemberton is really nice. I like the proportions on this little guy. Just what I need is another cult to belong to....

Useful in width? What does that mean?

To me, it's too stubby. No where near as elegant as their White Owl.

I agree about the elegance thing, and the W.O. is one of my favourite patterns, very little competes

No, what I meant was the handle is much wider than the P.Nut. I've never taken to he P.Nut because it is narrow and skimpy in the handle(even if the covers can be thick) The blade of the Pemberton is wider as well, narrow blades aren't that good for cutting oranges or large apples e.g.

Thanks, Will

This is certainly a very tempting pattern :)

Different strokes, I reckon. I like the peanut because its handle and blades are skinny; sort of like a mini version of a turkish clip point. And I love the way it'll quarter an apple and peel an orange.

At any rate, like Carl said above, the little guys have to stick together. Viva peanut! Viva Pemberton!

Thanks for the photos of the Snakewood, mine's on its way!

I just hope there is no more agitation in my small knives box. The Peanuts were a little restless when joined by the Tiny Trappers, got more agitated by a Buck Lancer, and nearly freaked out when some German doubled ended pen knives came in :D

Should have an Ebony waiting for me when I get home, thinking about one in Stag or Autumn Gold as well.
