Just thought I post these pictures. Many agree that the Cultellus is a great little Bushcraft blade despite it's unneeded choil. Here it is side by side with a Skookum Bush Tool so you can see why it's design is appealing to many.
Straight spines, similar shape/contour of the blade edge, full length handles and close in blade thickness.
Cutlellus is a capable blade in Bushcraft settings!

Sweet Culiti, much better looking than the skookum. A very usable design for sure.

snakeskin cultis are sexy.

that Skookum Bush has a nice butt/poll, it's hard to tell from the pics, but that's gotta be a separate piece making the poll right? That's insane if the stock started that thick.

The rear cap is a separate piece that is TIG welded to the tang. It is very strong with the slabs mounted.

So which handle do you prefer. I realize the elf choil might give the bush tool an edge for bush craft, but that aside do you have a preference between the handles. I LOVE my little snake Cultie. I use it daily.:cool:

Dang Oeser... isn't the snakeskin cultie ultra rare. As I remember it, you had to buy 2 (was it peter cottontail) culties just to get a elusive skakeskin cultie.

Anyway... the cultie is one of my favorites. It reminds me of a lightweight boxer... don't underestimate it. It will manhandle things much heavier than it is.

Yes, they sure are pretty. Hey, does anyone know how that snakeskin Cultellus or the tigerhide Cultellus came out? Was that at a show or something? Anyone have a price or production #? How rare are each? Timeline?

If i'm out all day and night in the woods, i'll bring one of my traditional bushcraft blades.
But for day hikes and general EDC outside work, I usually have the cutlie around. It's such a light blade that you don't even notice it on you. In summer it spends it's days in my right cargo short slip pocket in a lefty sheath with a clip.
Culti's are great slicers are a dream to hold. It's that old school straight-handled magic!
As for the elf choil, I don't like it but it is one of the least offensive choils when cutting. It's rather shallow and doesn't tend to snag everything. The GW's Culti and Meaners all have bogus unneeded choils but they snag less. The AD choil is the one that irritated me so much that i'll never own one again.

That's why the other two stay in a nice safe case.:eek::eek::eek:

Can't give me a bad time for not using my Busse knives, 'cause I do . . . just not all of them, . . . or most of them, um, what ever.:o:D

.

Agree with you about the Cultie:thumbup:

By far my favorite smaller Busse. Straight handle, great blade shape, .125 but a much thicker tip than the BAD's, and just the perfect size for most of my knife choirs.
