I just got my first busse, a Cultellus (I have several more busses and family members coming from some bigt trades) and though I got several sets of pants, I also made one set.

I wear overalls a lot, and wanted to develop a carry system that would work well in those.

So I started with a very basic kydex fold-over, which has an excellent retention 'snap'. I then mounted one half of a snap set onto a piece of leather, with which I covered the kydex. I attached the other half of the snap to my overalls.

The knife is firmly gripped by the sheath, the sheath is firmly grasped by the overall pocket and the snap.

It all works better than I expected.

The basic sheath. Inside is a kydex fold-over well molded. The leather is elkskin, soaked in molten beeswax. The edges are covered with leather lacing using a "florentine" stitch. A snap is attached to the leather.

I'll add some more snaps to other p[ieces of clothes; I think this is a good systen for ne. Thanks to all for the help with kydex. Once I built the press everything was easy and positive.

here is the result...
