Are all Cultellus 1/8" (.125") thick? I've been wanting to pick up a BAD for a while, but for some reason now the slim profile of the Cultellus is calling me.

Comparison pictures of the BAD and Cultellus would be awesome too, thanks!

I think there was was a few thicker Culti's made, but a very few. All I have is a spine shot right now. Bad in the middle of 2 cultis. One thing I just learned recently, some Culti's have fatter grips. Mags? Mag on left, standard on right. I definitely prefer the fatter grips to the skinny one, just me. The Bad feels great in the hand too, can't go wrong with either. :)

I had a BAD but sold it, and now I want a Culti to go with my BWM.

I guess I just prefer the SH-ness of the Culti over the AD-form-factor.

love the comparative spine shot, btw. thanks for sharing. ;)

Just picked up a culti for a reasonable price on the exchange. Great little knife. I have 2 ADs and a warden - I like fixed blade pocket knives, but I could not get the culti out of my mind. When I'm doing food prep or a lot of chores a small, thin blade works fine or is even better for some tasks. Now I can do it with infi !

To my knowledge all the Cults had blade thickness of .125"

THe only variances were thickness of handles, and if they had tube fasteners or mosaic pins.

I have some of the customs and even on two knives that look almost identical they could vary in handle thickness due to the variances in the hand shaping and the natural materials used.

Thanks for the info. The reason I'm interested in the Culti is because I'm looking for a smaller knife that's a good overall user for EDC, bushcraft, and kitchen use. Not sure why it hasn't appealed to me in the past, but now I have to check one out.

Blows the BAD and any other 8" knife away! I won't go into all the reasons why, since I have often before:p But mainly its the straight handle, and the much thicker tip than most .125 knives. Has more power and control than any 8' knife I've got, and thats alot.

btw- I like pins on this one. The back of handle is small and the back tube takes up most of that space. Your pinky will get sucked right in it causing some discomfort. Or at least did with my hand.

I think I have too raise some prices:o:)

I recently picked up my first Culti and I love it. For me it's the perfect weekend chore knife. It's great for food prep, opening packages, and any miscellaneous knife task. Think about how many times you've grabbed a little steak knife out of the kitchen for something.... that's what this knife is only 1000X's better.
