Nice blades, what steel is the Koster?

The Koster is 3V think. The original runs were 3V but I believe he made some O1 and S30V. It's really well made. I love mine.

So what is the primary function of this knife? Skinning? Serious slicing? I think I need one.

looks thin enough to do some nice slicing.

personally I'd use it in the kitchen or on game.

The Koster is a great cutter:thumbup:

The grind has a really fine edge and that steel really seems to make it really durable.

Here's mine. I had him send me one glued up but unprofiled so I could make it wider across the back so it cut well.
