I must confess this knife didn't really grab my attention when I first saw it, but just recently that changed. Reason being is it seems to be an excellent solution to an EDC fixed blade. Its also extremely appealing to the old eye, which makes a huge difference to me anyway...

I'd like to ask opinions from those of you who own one, please, to wit:

Is it a good user, or is just too darn nice to use hard?

Which is the 'best' handle material? The tiger linen looks great, but does the canvas micarta offer a more grippy surface?

Thanks fellas

I have a few Cultis and I really love them.

Are they good users: Absolutely. While the thinnest of the Busse knives, they are still made of INFI. It is one strong, thin knife. Unless, of course, you want to do heavy prying or cinder block destruction it should do just about anything you could ask of it.

The best handle material: I would say get the one that you like the most, as there is not a major difference between the linen tiger and the canvas. My tigers are very comfortable in the hand and have more than enough grippiness for use. The canvas does have a bit more texture, but not enough to be significant.

Bottom line is they make excellent edc knives. Plus, my tiger linens were the sharpest Busse blades I have ever received from the Shop.

Hope that helps and be sure to post pics when you get one!!

I gotta agree. The Culty seems to be a sleeper. Wasn't inspiring at first but man i love using it and find myself reaching for it quite a bit.

The other nice thing about it is it doesn't get the funny stares at the dinner table like the FBM :D.

I sure like the looks of the contoured tiger slabs but to me, the recent Working Hog Culty with the black linen canvas has a perfect feel and is more suited for EDC. Definitely a slicer but up to the challenge for more aggressive duty.

So there it is -- tiger at the dinner table and black canvas for the dirty work.

Those are my thoughts as well

A sleeper special. I'm using several black canvas micarta handled Culties in the kitchen, where they literally "rule."

All Busses must be used ... Culties, in particular.

Can't wait to get mine when I get home from NYC. Be cooking a steak soon after so I can use it!

You know I wasn't that crazy about it at first but the Culty has become the knife I carry most. I live in the city so do not get much chance to carry my large Busses and I I do switch between my AD, Meaner, and some others but more often than not it is the CUlty I reach for. SHarpest Busse I own and extremely comfortable to wear and use. I have the canvas which I sanded smooth and it still grips fine. Great little knife. Get one at least
