Just curious, how much in demand by collectors is this particular 100 anniversary 119? is it sought after?

Gee, no one answered this. I'm a collector and I bought one. Cutouts on the blade split the crowd. Some love them, others hate them. SP list says 1120 were made, that is quite alot for a LE so it is not rare. I would think it has appeal to 119 collectors. Palmwood handle also sets it apart.

In my NSHO(not so humble opinion), Buck flooded the market with 100 Year Anniversary everything in 2002. I started to collect 100 year issues until I realized I didn't have the time or money to do anything close to completing anything...probably I just lacked imagination as well.

I have a few of the 100 Year 119s...the third one down and the stag handled one are not 110 Year issue. The second one down is unusual because it has yellow-orangish micarta spacers. I think it was Joe Houser who said that Buck and the manufacturer ran out of burgundy and had to use the yellow-orangish for a short time. Not sure how many were made.

Funny thing about these 100year cut outs, one side is 100year and the other side is 001 like in the OPs photo. I bought one when they came out as they are interesting, however most of my knives are in 3 or five knife display stands and the 001 is the way the stands work. I put it up for sale here once and it had no interest so it's still in its box.

I almost bought a 192 with a large blade cutout (NRA) with Jigged Buffalo horn handles. The plan was to use it and see if it broke..I guess just as a display knife it really doesn't matter and if it had a small cutout like a Deers head I would have absolutely dug deep. I don't think a small cutout really effects the usability or strength in normal use.

I hate blade cut outs and dislike blade etchings.

I love the Anvil date stamp.

As pjsjr pjsjr said too many were made to really be of collector value yet.

I kind of like when they make enough that everyone who wants one gets one. Plus it stops the flippers.
