I've got an entire room dedicated to edged tools; it's my mini "man cave" lol!
Inside the room, some of my knives go into old silverware cases...
That made me chuckle a bit.my Leon Trotsky Room (the walls are lined with ice-axes)
Fantastic! You are the man I want to be Sir. Years ago I did have a set of knife drawers, and then a filing cabinet, but that was a long time ago. I need to get organazized!

Thanks sir! It's not really that organized though, the rest of the room is a disaster with stuff scattered everywhere... :foot:
Besides, it's way more fun to have knives scattered throughout the home anyway!
All of my knives are users - some more than others, obviously. I must say I have a number of them in an office supplies organizer in my dresser drawer - mostly my EDC rotation along with a few cheapies I would loan without reservation.
The rest are in toolboxes, with camping gear, in EDC bags, in gloveboxes, in EDC organizers, in my jacket pockets, and in emergency bags throughout the house, garage, and vehicles.
I like those silverware organizers. They look very useful. But then I'd need to dedicate space to them, and wouldn't have 'my blades when/where I'm likely to need 'em.
Czechmate, enjoy those knives! Nice setup.
I use a regular steel 3 drawer toolbox with plastic bins and foam lining.
The problem with displaying your collection is that it makes a nice, easy to find present for any burglar that might break in. Sort of like a woman hanging all of her expensive jewelry on the wall.
If you're going to display hundreds, or thousands of dollars worth of knives, I would suggest that you have theft insurance, keep a list of all your knives, keep your reciepts, and take photos of all your knives, including photos of how and where they were being displayed. Of course, if you have knives that could not be replaced or that you could not bear to lose, you might want to reconsider openly displaying them.
All my knives are users, some are more expensive than others. Although I live in an area with an extremely low crime rate, I hide the knives that I'm not going to be using/carrying that day. Why make it easy for a potential burglar to take all my good stuff.
