curious about different pics of the EBT and EBS

Greetings, I've been reading this forum for a while but this is my first post. I've been really impressed with the professionalism demonstrated here by the manufacturer, dealers, and understandably obsessed collectors. STRIDER knives have been on my wish list for over a year now. I finally have the excuse to buy a few now that my unit is looking to deploy to the big overseas sandbox this year. (The wife approved the purchase on the grounds that they may save my life.) I've been researching the EBT, EBLT, EBS, and EBLS. I've noticed these knives have received excellent reviews here but I'm curious about some of the pictures I've seen. STRIDER's website and OSOGRANDE's website show the EBT and EBLT with sharply angled spines and more acutely angled points. The websites of TAD and BADASSKNIVES appear to show a more obtuse point with a rounded spine. I'm not really put off by either of the designs as they both appear very strong and excellent for long term field duty. I was just wondering if one of the designs is newer than the other and if so, which is the design that is currently being distributed? Thank you in advance for any insight into this.

I was looking into this knife for a while (and still am;) ) The curent model should have the curved spine and have a flat ground blade. Some of the pictures on the web are of the hollow ground, so below is a picture from Tadgear of the flat ground. Good luck, Reagan

JBierlyRN,
Contact the Strider Shop ASAP! They have a bunch of EB series knives in stock right now. If you don't get it quick, you won't get it for quite a while. They are extremely busy.

Shelby, your web page is incredable!!!! I love your photos. Is the webpage new, or am I just catching up with the times? I now have another site to frequent. Thanks, Reagan

Awesome web page...the more I look at the EBs and the GB and AR, the more I want them. And the tougher it is to decide which to get. I will take the advice and order them today though. I think I'll have to go with the EBLS and the AR. Doesn't look I could go wrong with any of these. Thanks again.

We started making all of the EB knives with the curved spine due to the fact that we wanted all of the knives to be able to use the same sheath.
The reason we wanted this is because of the 6004 holster. We make a sheath that fits the holster. The holster is sometimes an issue item, but you want to keep your own knife. This way your knife will fit all the holster/sheaths.
I know it doesn’t matter to most of the people who buy the things, but it matters to a few.

Great photos.
Thanks Shelby and Ed.

Mick,

I was hoping that was the case. The 6004 is an issue item in my unit and they tend to be really lax about us making our own modifications. I just tried to order an EBLS from OSOGRANDE but they were out of stock. I'll have to talk to Vinnie about one. I was hoping to buy both an EBT, and EBLS and was up in the air about which one I would mount to my holster. You've just made my day.

Jason
